Charlotte Martin, Fruitbat Textiles – West Country Weavers Day
April 24 @ 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm£12/ £44
My name is Charlotte Martin and I have been weaving for nearly 10 years now.
I have had a love of textiles from a very young age, being taught to cross stitch from the age of 5 or 6. My creative work has always centred around colour and textures inspired by my home county of Somerset.
When I’m not creating I like to be out in the countryside, exploring and admiring our changing seasons. I’ve had an interest in photography since I was a teenager. I ride a motorbike and love my rock music, especially when I get to see it live (when that’s a thing again!).
Join me between 1:30 – 2:30 to hear about my life in textiles. How my love of the craft began and grew throughout my time in education, and how that eventually lead to me becoming a hand weaver and starting my own business. Finding my voice as a creative and my making process now as an established craftsperson
