Krokbragd Weaving Workshop with Angie Parker

27^th  & 28^th April in person at The Loom Shed. 10am – 4pm + 15^th May online tutorial 7pm-9pm.

Learn the fundamentals of how to weave Krokbragd from the self-confessed 30 year addict, Angie Parker, in this new two-day workshop with online follow-up.

During the workshop, you will learn the basics of this traditional Scandinavian weaving technique, plus key information to achieve impeccable selvedges. Be prepared to temporarily bamboozle your weaving brain before things fall into place.

Angie will show you how to master traditional and contemporary patterns, and will give you the skills to help you find your own style and create your own designs. There will be practical tips, including design suggestions and weaving at different setts. Plus, how best to finish your completed pieces.

This workshop is suitable for weavers with some experience and their own loom to bring with them. Full instructions for pre-warping your loom will be sent on booking. Angie will then prepare your warp and send it to you directly, so you know you’ll have the best warp for the job! (To do this, we will need to share your contact details with Angie.)

The in-person workshop will be spent getting to grips with the technique. During the Zoom tutorial, a month later, you’ll have the chance to discuss with Angie your progress and iron out any issues that you’ve had in the weaving.

The workshops in The Loom Shed will include a lovely lunch, plenty of tea, coffee, biscuits and cake. If you need a copy of our accommodation list, just let us know.
