10 Week Learn to Weave course
During this 10 week course, you will learn how to set up a 4 shaft handloom and weave a length of fabric woven with different structures. This will involve winding a warp and setting up the loom, before learning how to throw a shuttle and weave well. During the term, Louise Cottey will take some time to discuss other weave structures, techniques, and the work of other cultures and designers over coffee.
If you are a more experienced weaver seeking a refresher or new challenge, Louise is to adapt the course to suit you.
The course fee includes full tuition, equipment, tea/coffee, and a full set of Learn to Weave notes to refer to. Yarn will be available at a small additional cost. There is usually a waiting list for this course, please contact Louise for more information or to add your name to the list.
